Kakukri,
Reference points are needed sometimes, I agree. To make tyre brake marks like Papy did I need more time. Only one track from me has them - Phoenix. As for Elkhart, when I worked on this track I thought it would be no problems with second turn. So I didn't put turn marks there. Last turn is needed of turn marks. But walls there are to far from track so turn marks will not be very helpful. Real track has turn marks on the grass near the track edge. So my advice is some practice here.
If you still will have problem on this parts, I can try to put turn marks there.
Hi,
Here is Portland International Racewy in different versions for you. At first I thought to edit n3 Portland. But then I had decided to make base track from scratch. So what is here:
Portln89 - track configuration that was used by Indycar in 1984 - 1991. Track length is 1,922 miles. AI not good at first chicane, but I'll try to improve it.
Portland - track configuration that was used by Indycar in 1992 - 2004. Track length is 1,969 miles. Till 1997 track was listed with legth of 1,950. But then many of CART tracks were remesured. So from 1997 till 1999 Portland had length of 1,967, and from 2000 till 2004 it had length of 1,969. But Nascar still used length of 1,95 for av. speed calculations.
Portln06 - track configuration that was used by ChampCar in 2005 - 2007. Track length is 1,964 miles.
Porlnnc - track configuration without chicane ('nc' - no chicane) that was used by IMSA till 1992.
I didn't make special billboards for each version. I think only Portln06 can be updated. I only had changed Goodyear to Bridgestone on bridge and walls there. So feel free with updates.
Portland! My home track. The pics look real nice and I look forward to trying the different versions. Will be awhile as I have to transfer the files to my old pc and then transfer to my older pc..........nevermind.
