I raced Meadowlands "oval" today for few hours. This track is amazing. The corners have tricky exits and entrances where you are braking and turning or feathering the throttle under acceleration. The quality of the track creation is also fantastic. I wish I could build them as good as you do pavel!

I'm getting pretty good around the track. Last night I managed to run a 36.6 second lap. I need to tweak the AI coming out of "mears corner", they are just a little slow on the exit. This is most definitely one of my favorite tracks once you get a smooth groove down.

Last night, I ran a full length 150 lap / 100% race here. Yellows were turned on, but I didn't have any- I was able to make it all the way without causing one! What a traffic induced mess though, I had a few small "kisses" with other cars but I didn't take anyone out. I thought I was going to take out a half a dozen cars =)

I am trying to help with the AI creation of caesars right now, and I am not fully convinced that the crash i am seeing in caesars is happening for the same reason. The LPs that came with the track had 590 records, and I tried to add an extra record (591) into the text files when I modified them. I was just experimenting to see if this would work. When I brought it up in LP edit it did not show the 591st record, only the original 590. Then to further experiment I copied the txt-LP files from my portland project into caesars, and still only 590 records come up in lpedit for caesars? can you give me some feedback?

You can't just add records to txt files. Because Lpedit need to have same number of records in lp ant txt files to work properly. Number of records in lp file is in priority. So wneh you add or remove records from txt files, then you need to backup this txt files and create blank lp files with proper number of records in Lpedit. Then you can restore backuped txt files and create lp from them.
For me it usually try and errors. I add or remove one or two records and check game. Another way if you have N3 game then you can make test version of the track for it, make replay there and using RpyToLp by Nigel Pattinson create lp file and see what number of records it have. Usually it has right number of records.

To be true I don't know why this error happens. For example my Disney World track was made long time ago. And I never had any problems with it. I've run numerous IRL seasons with it in the schedule and everything was ok. Recently in February I decided to run race there and game crashed on race start. So I have to reduce number of records in lp files by 1. Strange.
I have another PC. This is the only cause I can think of. Game folder is just copy from old PC. |
