Indy 500 2009

Well, I attended my 5th Indy 500 this year, and it was the best one yet!

We had a great spot to view the race from, we sat on the back straight viewing mound, near turn three. From there we could see the cars coming out of turn 2, down the back straight and into turn three.

I have attached a few pictures that I took yesterday.

I am already looking forward to next year.

Nice photos guys, looks like you had a good time. I downloaded the race in HD to watch it and although that's still very fun in itself... I thought the race was pretty uneventful. But I know that being there makes up for a big part of that

I agree, being at the races increases the fun factor tenfold.

I remember attending a MotoGP race with Casey Stoner leading from start to finish. I still had a great time even though it must have been boring as hell on tv. Because no one likes to see Stoner dominate

Plus, there is a lot of stuff you miss on tv during commercial breaks. Unless you like watching those Danica Patrick "Big Daddy" ads.

I am not going where my mind wants me to type down a cheeky remark. Anyway, agreed on the being at the races remark, although Tjerk and I came to the conclusion DTM has been dulled down so much we probably won't visit this year's Zandvoort race.
