Following a post about editing help on SCW's The Wind Tunnel forum I have created an irc channel dedicated to N3 and ICR2 editing. All the editors and aspiring editors of those games are invited to join this channel.
The network is irc.shadowworld.net. The port is 6667 but in most clients you don't need to provide this as it is the default port. No password is needed. The channel name is #papy.editing.
Seeing as this will be a channel for more than one sim, I suggest to add a tag to your name for which you are mostly editing. My name is [icr2]Tjerk. I could imagine most of you from this place will want to put [icr2] in front of your username. It will also be best probably to use the nick with which you are known in the community to avoid confusion. But these are all suggestions, feel free to do what you want basically
What is irc:
If you don't have experience with irc, some good clients include [but there are many more] mIRC and xChat. Some browsers also support irc [Opera does so out of the box] and I'm pretty sure Firefox should have a plugin.
Here is the link to Shadowworld if you want details about this particular network.
At ircHelp you can find all kinds of info on irc in general, beginner to advanced.
