I'm talking about this page http://www.simcyberworld.com/icr2/records.htm .

I like this page you have racelike. I wish you would include the many GPL and scratch builds archived here. I'd think there would be participation. I often wonder where my times stand. (or, how close to the bottom they are)

but this page is not mine

but after seeing it a long time ago, at least 6 years ago, I started getting better playing the game, thanks to some of the setups there, but I also started learning to change the car

It is a great page at SimCyber that I have used on many occasions myself. Maybe Sander and I should ask Reed if we can take over that page [as we have did with SRC's tracklist on Tony's initiative] and make it active at our site again, then if someone wants to add times/setups/replays for new or existing tracks we could do that easily. I will talk this over with Sander.

That track is from 1959. I converted it once to test it out, but I wasn't happy with it, at least not for GTP or Champcars. Not sure whether a decent version exists for GP3.

there looks like there are many very interesting and fun tracks available at this site.
are these tracks potentially convertable?

Except for a few extremities, like Isle of Man, all GPL tracks can be converted. Actually, Isle of Man was converted as well, but I couldn't get it to work in ICR2 or N3. Too long I guess. If I look at the other ones, there are a few there which do exist in the ICR2 world....

Indy F1 needs to be converted, it would be so cool to drive in ICR2

the indianapolis f1 track? this is the worst track i ever seen in my life

if you guys who create or convert tracks can someday convert Interlagos for ic2, then thanks in advance.

just the track, no need of objects or something like that

Converting and adding the objects will not be a big problem. At one point we converted an Interlagos but I can't remember which version it was, it might have been the GP3 one. Anyway, that track was not good in ICR2 as it had so many small sections that only a very small portion of the track was drawn at any point on the track. You were lucky to be able to see 100 yards in front of you most times. So that did not really work, and redoing a track on that scale is so difficult that you might as well start from scratch.

I agree that the Indy F1 track is not the most inspiring track ever designed but still it would be cool to have for ICR2. It's just a fact that certain tracks work better in ICR2 than others. Although most of them convert well in terms of files, there are elements in tracks that ICR2 just does not handle well, tight hairpins for example. Also as Sander said length can be a problem like in the IOMTT circuit [and putting objects in that one would just be as impossible as trying that in the GPL Ring track]. I would say the more ambitious tracks [Solitude comes to mind] just don't work and look as good as a track like Oring. Oring is very simple but smooth and good looking. Really the kind of track that ICR2 shines on. Walls around it and nicely textured objects close to the track. I would not dare to think what a track like Clermont Ferrand would look like in ICR2, the game would not do that place justice I think.

But it's great that you are looking for tracks that you would like to race in ICR2 and I will try to get them working as best as I can. I have not done a lot of track work the last month or so but will start working on new and exisitng tracks once the regular racing season gets under way again.
