This is such a game changer and wonderful to see it coming together so quickly. Congrats on the release and I hope it brings in more people to play ICR2!

Maybe I could directly integrate it into dosboxes rendition at some point, if jxeboy is ok with it. It's his code, even if its open source. I charge a tenner for my code and that might not be OK.

Ive posted a new version which redoes the main FFB calculation using new data which should give a better overall feeling for oversteer/understeer. There is still a general 'smoothness' and lacking of detail such as grass/dirt which will depend on new physics values being found at some point.

Another update, and I think this one is getting into the realm of a V1 release
I added new logic to use variations in force across the axel rather than only applying a summed 'lateral' force. This allows the wheel to feel surface changes (dirt vs grass vs asphalt) and for changes in camber in the road to be felt as well. It feels really nice now! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1D0qMEXX...sp=sharing

Another new Beta. This one adds a few more options to the ffb.ini which allows more configuration/balancing of the different effects

Amazing work; thank you so much for this! However: I'm having some issues getting it to work, but this may be because of the weird janky setup I've got to get ICR2 playable with my wheel/pedal combo. I'm playing the Rendition version.
My setup is: Thrustmaster TS-XW/SF1000 wheel SimJack pedals vJoy used in conjunction with Joystick Gremlin to combine inputs into one controller (this was the only way I was successfully able to get DOSBox to see the inputs correctly). FFB is enabled on the vJoy device though. I can see the raw data/steering lock etc, but I'm getting Failed to update damper effect. It doesn't seem to log these errors in the log.txt, but this is what I get in the ICR2FFB window: Failed to update damper effect: 0x80040205ces Failed to update damper effect: 0x8004020540205 Failed to update damper effect: 0x8004020540205 Failed to update damper effect: 0x8004020540205 Failed to update damper effect: 0x8004020540205 Failed to update damper effect: 0x8004020540205 Constant force SetParameters failed: 0x80040205 Any ideas?

Interesting, Ive not experimented with force feedback via vJoy and how that then translates to the wheel. What device do you put in the ffb.ini? Have you considered looking at hidhide as another way to control what controllers ICR2/dosbox can see? I use this tool to block every usb device outside of my wheel and pedals and able to use them natively with ICR2, and then use Joy2Key on the side to map some buttons to keyboard commands.

I've entered "vJoy Device" (without the quotation marks), which is how it appears on my system. I'll give HIDhide a bash and see if that sorts the controller issues out; good shout!

So, no amount of fudging the keymapper/dosbox/dosbox staging/HIDhide will get me to the point where I can use my pedals and wheel in ICR2 without vJoy/Joystick Gremlin And when I use that combo, I get no FFB. Still nothing useful in the log files either, just the same output in the console that I posted earlier.
There's always one

I have added version v0.8 which updates some of the main force curves to be stronger and more smooth
