Riverside track project

I like your first choice more than the 2nd because it shows more of the track. One thing I was thinking... I'm going to need to find a lot of trucks, RVs and cars and little objects like you see parked all in the infield.

Hello if it is helpful I made this bridge and "Highres" texture when I was updating Riverside for N1. The pallet will have to be converted but I've attached them here if it is helpful!

Thank you Jake!

Pavel I have something I don't understand.

I was looking to find the 3D source file for your hills that are basically TSOs.  This is exactly the way I would have done this if I started from scratch.  I am looking for the source of one of your files, and I think I found it in the "OUTSIDE" folder.... but when I look at the source it looks like the source for the track instead of just that one little 3DO.  This has me very confused.  See my pics below:

Can you clarify this?  I am probably missing something simple.

I can check this file later because I'm at work. But as I remember all outside 3dos were made from track 3d files. But those 3d file are edited to use specefic track sections as output. Scroll to the bottom of 3d, there should be me edit there.

I think I understand it! This is a brilliant way of doing things. I would have never though of this in a thousand years on my own.

I've just checked files. My memory was right Grin3 If you want to change this files you can use river_L/R.sg files to generate new 3d files. And then apply same edit at the bottom of 3d to have proper output 3do file.

Yes - I tried this tonight and it works perfectly. You are only collecting part of the 3D file for your 3DO in the BSP tree. It gives a million warnings but converted as I wanted.

I noticed something strange.... SFE does not seem to draw all of the parts of the track.  When I go into the section that looks like pieces are missing, they are there on the bottom but do not show up in the top.

Does this do this for any of you also?

Yes, SFE had this bug as long as I remember. When track is complex with many sections and walls this happens sometimes, even at ovals.

Yes, I had it too. You can see it in my thread. But I think, it doesn't cause any issues.
