You need to apply some shadow on crowd texture under each deck. Grandstand will look much better then.

Yes I know, I have been working on some of the smaller details... I am almost ready to try it out in ICR2. I need TSDs and I need to do the menu pics, TXT file and CAM stuff. I particularly like my Gery Gerould ABC live feed big screen TVs in the pits! the gap between the lower part of the track and the upper will have these painted lines, that I will have to do with TSDs. Checkpoint10... does any trick come to mind to do this mathematically so I can get them at nice even gaps with nice 45 degree angles like this? More important is the gap between the lines. I'm sure, you don't want to make them directly in the 3D file. To make them in a TSD file, you should adjust the interval to the length of your track subsectors, so you will have 1, 2 or 3 lines in one subsector. I hope, your subsectors have an equal length. You can get the start DLONG of your subsectors from your track.3d file or you can make a CSV file from your TRK file with a Python tool floating around in the forum.

For each V, I would probably create two TSDs, each starting at the same DLONG and DLAT but ending at the diverging DLATs to form the 45 degree angle. The tip of the V won't be pointy but I think it won't be noticed when driving. Equal spacing of the DLONGs should get you close enough to equal spacing between the Vs, I think.
You can add a temporary line in sfe as a visual guide and arithmetical reference in .3D if it doesn't overshoot the 10 lines limit. It would go through all the middle pikes that you are about to create. Also as each corner point of a line is tweakable in both X and Y I think you can have them pointy in the middle bond and parralel to the driving surface at their side edge. Good luck with this project.

I had a setback last night. I built all of the 3do's for icr2 but now I am getting a "insufficient memory" error trying to load Chicago. I have checked my files several times and I think I should have everything I need. I must have something that is wrong.
Learning from this- I should be doing things like Checkpoint10 does.... meaning every time I add an object build it for icr2 and test it in the game. The track screens load on the menu, but when I try and select Chicago the screen fades then it tells me "insufficient memory". (this is where you get the testing/garage menu)

I believe sometimes it will say "Error loading track" as well - and I think I see that whenever I have a missing file. Can't remember what "insufficient memory" would mean - perhaps all the files are there but you have an N3 3DO or MIP in there somewhere?

Is the easiest way to check, just to run MRON?

That's the embarrasing thing. I've only tested in OPE. Never run in the game. (It's a bad habit I know) This is why I said I was dumb, I should be doing this like Checkpoint and testing in the game after every few steps. I've got no excuse considering we can compile to ICR2 so easy with the nooRok converter now.
