Stop AI breakdowns?
#1
In the 1988 cart season, and in ICR2 in general, I have noticed that at tracks like Surfer Paradise, Mid-Ohio, and Long Beach, the fast AI cars break down early in the race, leaving slower cars to win. In the 1988 cart season, it isn't a problem, except for Danny Sulivan, but is there a way of keeping the AI cars in the race and that the slower cars can stop winning?

I doubt that you can change this setting. The AI cars will break down and there is nothing you can do to save them.

I think it can be done with some game engine hack https://www.icr2.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=1428

A year ago, I was doing the Indy 500 for the 2002 Indycar Season, and only 8 cars finished (I had an oil pump failure). And 32 cars had started. I'm gonna do the 1988 season in 2 days maybe, so I'm hoping this isn't a big problem at the Indy 500. But, in the real 1988 indy 500, I believe 9 or 8 cars finished as well, so I won't be too concerned unless we are down to like 5 cars or something.
