Toronto 94 (off topic)
#1
So this past weekend my dad passed away.  I went home to visit my mom, and my cousin converted some old VHS tapes to digital where we had footage of my dad.  He also had this VHS of my very first experience with going to the Molson Indy Toronto.  This is what got me into CART and really changed my life.  Thought I would share with you guys.

First of all my condolences to you and your family. And that's some really nice footage you posted. Amazing how close you could get to the crews working on the cars.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it.

You can see in the footage of when they were jumping on willy t ribs car- I think they were doing that to settle the suspension and get accurate toe/camber/caster measurements. It looks like (in the footage of the no-touch car) they also have some kind of 4-pad scale to measure the weight at all 4 corners, but I don't know what settings you could do to the car to adjust the corner weight in a stationary setting like that. I have a little bit of hands on knowledge like this but it's way less technical. I make adjustments on my Evolution IX with the camber so every time I lower it off my hoist the ride height isn't right. If the ride height isn't right it will throw off the camber and the toe.

Ballast placement? Most race cars are built as light as possible, so they can put the ballast (needed to reach the minimum weight) at that spot, where it improves the car handling.

Looking at this footage indycars were damn fast, look like even faster than a Formula 1 but we all know that it is not true, at least on road courses. Anyway Indycar was toe to toe with F1 back in this era before Tony George messed everything with those stupid IRL cars.
