Ted Meat's Hardcore Indycar Racing 1 season on YouTube
#1
Not exactly ICR2, but Ted Meat will start today his hardcore season in original IndyCar Racing. I think he'll also make some ICR2 streams in the future. Unfortunately Ted hasn't yet been able to get his account here activated.

It took me a while also, can someone contact TJerk or wolf-PD to get Ted-meat's account activated?

I think his account doesn't even exist at the moment. But I'll tell him to try if it's likely to get activated.

Oh yess, thanks to Wolf_pd for letting me in Smiley

And yeah as Purojannu said I just started a hardcore season of original ICR on my channel (one race completed for now) but will also do ICR2 eventually. I'm a big fan on 90's racing games, mainly by Geoff Crammond and Papyrus.

Used to do a lot of 100% distance races in then 90's but always more or less cheated (rage quits, restarts, loading saves etc). Now I decided to do a bunch of HC-seasons properly with no cheating and because it's kinda boring to do it alone I decided to share (and document) the races on Youtube. Also live streams prevent me from cheating. No, I don't have a spine.

Don't know how interested anyone is of ICR1 since it's obviously far behind ICR2 in every manner but for me the racing has been quite enjoyable even with the primitive AI and all. And oh the nostalgia Grin3

I also use OBS for both streaming and recording and seems to do the job just fine.

Hi Ted and welcome to the forum. By the way, have you considered any 500 subscriber special in YouTube? For example a 500 miler at Talladega in ICR2 would be great Grin3.

Welcome Ted! I enjoyed your video from Surfers and look forward to more! It is nice to watch someone race carefully and discuss strategy. I am someone who normally tries to win the race on the first few laps, cause an accident, and quit. Seeing the game played properly is refreshing.

I had no plans but a 500 miler of some sort would actually be the Perfect Idea! I must think about it and how I could fit it into my calendar. I don't know about Talladega but how about doing... eh trying to do the full Indianapolis 500 with the game Indianapolis 500 to celebrate the number 500 Grin3

Thanks mate! Your style of playing certainly sounds familiar. I'd probably still race the same way but making it public forces me to do it "properly".

I find strategy in racing fascinating and that's why I like the 100% race length. I know it's boring for most people but I find it interesting to see the different strategies unfold during a full distance race.

100% race length is the only way I roll. I just finished (minutes ago) 100% race length at the medowlands "oval" version track. 150 laps around this short road coarse. I finished 2nd, with no yellows caused by me (although there were 2 AI crashes)

I could never do a youtube video of me playing ICR2 and talking about it because I would get distracted and crash. I really, really, really struggle focusing 100% when I'm racing and even sometimes if my mind wanders it discracts me. I would have to do it with a voiceover after recording the race...

Try a 100% run at Langhorne if you need a challenge.

Make sure to put a bucket next to your seat.... Wink2

@Tjerk, you may want to move the last few posts about Ted Meat's ICR1 season to the new ICR1 forum.
