The old indycar patches are still on Sierra's old FTP

Looking for some friendly advice with ICR2.

I am having the same problem that 'sunoco' was having earlier in this thread...everytime I attempt reassign the controls in ICR2, as soon as I select one, it instantly assigns it to the mouse. It does the same thing for all of the control inputs. The game works great other than that, I can drive with the keyboard with no problem (who wants to drive a race car with a keyboard???)

I tried all of the various suggestions posted earlier, including trying 'woofgm''s controls.cfg file. I was wondering if 'sunoco' was able to get the problem corrected, and if so how?? This game has been a favorite of mine for years and I just got another copy of it a few weeks ago and I've been putting in hours of frustration trying to get this working.

Ermmm..... maybe a bit silly but could you try to unplug the mouse when you are assigning the new controls? If it's USB then the OS should pick up on it again after you plug it in again. Sorry if this is one of the suggestions you tried already, I did not read the whole thread.
