Cheers, i may do another season to test tho it looks like not much will change. I have tested all values in the same way to try & get the idea of what they each do.
Changing subject a bit- in my 1989 carset, both Scott Pruett and Bobby Rahal have the exact same performance numbers for Traction, Agression, Engine and Drag. Is this all that the game uses for performance of the AI in the game? For some reason Pruett is always very fast and Rahal is very slow. It's almost like something else is affecting the performance. The chassis, engine and tires are all the same. There should be equal performance over a number of races but for some reason it isn't like that. I wonder if some "car spots" in the file have a distinct advantage over others. I know it sounds crazy but I have no other way of explaining it.

Does this happen over the course of a championship season, or even if you did single races you notice that Pruett is faster than Rahal? If it's across the season, I wonder if the game would pick a random performance at the beginning and lock it in for the rest of the season.

As a matter of interest what parameters are you using? if too far apart the game could just be choosing a lower # for Rahal at most races.

Have had a squiz at '89 results & Pruett was quicker than Rahal that yr...
I not sure why they are diff when same settings tho, depends how far apart parameters are etc.

I race single races and compile the data with a spreadsheet. It is a season only because I am keeping track of it as such, even know to the game it's just single races.

Given the #'s are a long way apart for each parameter i'd say it's just picking a lower # for Rahal than Pruett. with these #'s the bigger the gap = less consistent.

If you like post the txt on here from the drivers2.txt file & i can redo the #'s using the same formula as the files in the original post
