Does anyone know why some AI cars don't leave the pits? they just get lapped & the race can't end because of these cars, have tried reducing the # of cars for the track but it still an issue.

Was Belle Isle Detroit, had 29 cars (29 pit bays) reduced to 28 cars (just put 35 bays) & it did it again, worked fine on 27. Think it was just that i had too many cars on track.

I had the same problem once also at that track but I wanted to run 30 cars. I've never seen it anywhere else though. Maybe someone smarter than me can help... (like Pavel)

(like Pavel) I have had the issue before but it was seemingly because i had 2 cars, what i had forgotten was the cars allowed in track file does include pace car so just reduced the # of cars will the issue went away, all i lose is 2 back markers from the field so no issue. It seems to many cars is the issue which is an easy fix. Maybe someone smarter than me can help... (like Pavel) Not when I want to run a minimum of 30. I always run 32, unless it is too crowded I run 30. I want to find a way to run 30 at belle isle. When this happened to me (I only noticed it once) the race did not actually "finish". I always run 100 percent lengths, and when the race was over everyone pulled into the pits but when I hit "escape" key it did not show the "race is over" graphic. Results never showed that the race had ended either. Years ago (back in the 90s) I never noticed this either, but I don't remember how many cars I was running. I also did not adjust the cars quantity in the PIT portion of the txt file. I adjusted the CARS number... see below (laguna seca used as example) (i have always done it this way, and never seen a problem with the exception of this) TNAME Laguna Seca SNAME Laguna Seca PIT 138000 60876000 1044402 66320000 945000 364000 11136000 28 65725000 65907887 1044402 SPDWY 0 29 31 LENGT 2214 LAPS 84 FNAME Laguna Seca Raceway CITYN Monterey, CA COUNT USA PACEA 2 70001256 45000 -45000 0 QUAL 0 10 BLIMP -3138103 -2789427 GFLAG 68564000 TTYPE 4 CARS 30 30 TEMP 880 100 TEMP2 880 100 WIND 1610612736 268435456 50 50 0 WIND2 1610612736 268435456 50 50 0 RAIN 13 00 BLAP 69642 RELS 98 THEAT 12000 11000 10000 15500 9500 7500 5500 15000 TCFF 61535 59535 57535 57535 30800 29989 28989 39000 TCFR 65535 63535 61535 61535 34800 33989 32989 43000 TIRES 64716 5500 76000000 64716 5500 76000000 0 TIRE2 65535 5700 76000000 65535 5700 76000000 0 SCTNS 8 5 3

If you have icr2mgr you might be able to play around with the number and/or length of pit boxes.

I can't remember such problem. I usualy run 50%-100% distance races, indy500 with 32 opponents and never had such problems. So I can't help.

I think Detroit ICR2 original has a 27 max car (27 is including the pace car).
