Just a theory i have here, As i have done some Seasons by just accelerating the races (100% distance), i had noticed some cars retire in some seasons more than others, without testing the theory is it possible the higher aggression setting in the AI performance file could mean more retirements?
I have not been able to find posted that anyone knows what it means so could that be a factor at all?

The players car has aggression settings as well as other settings AI have, have a play around & see what happens, The aggression settings have to have an effect somehow but as you say no1 seems to know what it is. Could drag affect overtaking as well?

I have noted in the past ppl having issue's with AI speed on the ovals, could that be that the values for horsepower need to be tightened up so there is less of a random number/gap?

As Sam said, the lower the aggression value the more the car moves up through the field. Changing the other values does effect the player car but I don't know how that one does, if at all. It could be that it is ignored for the player.
The horsepower value controls acceleration but not top speed. A low value will get a car to the same speed, it will just take longer to get there.

Could that be a hint of how to make some AI faster on ovals & others on road courses?
