Despite so much time working on this track, my best lap is only 33.104.
Personally I am more concerned with how much fun the track is to drive, rather than who is the fastest. I can not compete with some of the fastest guys but personally my thing is to do races at 100% distance that are challenging, stimulating and lots of fun (without causing yellows or accidents of course). Some of my favorite races were races that I finished mid pack but had to work to get good results.
How do you guys like the AI? Is it competitive, is it realistic? Please be honest, if it sucks say so.

I can't answer your question, because the game crashes in lap 3 in practice and immediately in qualifying.
Error message:
Illegal write to c0001e3f, CS:IP f000: 14a5
I removed the read-only attributes already.

I raced a full race and got through a full 40 gallons and did quite a few races in "fast forward" - I didn't see any issues with crashes after we fixed the first one that was identified early. Are you using icr2 version 1.0.2?

FYI- you may want to upgrade. I had issues with home-made tracks with 1.0.0, and when I upgraded it things worked better. Maybe this is just luck, and I can't explain it but you can see from the youtube videos I've posted the track works good for me with other AI.
I have a "virgin" completely un-modified version of ICR2 that is post-update-patch. I can zip it up if I need to. I think the version is 1.0.2 but it is only the papyrus patched version (whatever number it is, I can't remember).
it is a pain in the but to patch the game because you need to patch a completely UN-modified version of ICR2. When I did it a few years ago I remember screwing it up about a half dozen times for really silly reasons. That's why I patched it successfully and saved a completely unmodified version of the successfully patched results.

If you need my help (need my files) I will zip everything for you. Since you already have the game, and the upgrade is free I see no issues providing you with a pre-patched version so you don't have to pull your hair out trying to get it to work. Let me know.

I am on 1.0.2 and DosBox/Win10 and this track has crashed just once on me, in the opening seconds of a race. I don't why it happened then, but it hasn't happened ever since.
I would also be interested to know if this track works on Windy and other platforms.
I noticed there is a small bug - when you go wide into the sand trap at the last turn, the AI cars may disappear. I think it is because the game thinks you have crossed over to the pit lane. I think one of the track txt parameters may be adjusted to fix this.

I think this is because I need to move MINPANIC further up (to the left). This will also mean that MINRACE and maybe PASS2 may have to be adjusted some more as well.
Think about how MINPANIC was made.... by literally driving and scraping on the right wall. If the replay records this, and the value of the recording is to the RIGHT of where the wall is, the car will be able to carry through the wall. Now, since MINRACE is just next to that, I can see how this can happen. The recorded values from the replay converter aren't exactly perfect, that's why I may need to tweak this more.
Remember, MINPANIC is always less than MINRACE is always less than PASS2.

I was thinking it's less to do with the LP files because it happens when I am in the sand trap due to my poor driving. My guess is that when the game thinks you are in the pit lane, it will stop drawing the AI cars in order to save system resources. In the meantime, the AI cars carry on just fine and I can still hear them and then see them again once I get out from the sand trap.
