Caesars Palace Track Beta RELEASE!!!!
#1
Hello,
Hope you all had a good christmas, I've scratch built the Caesars Palace Oval track used by CART in 1983-1984, however I'm really struggling to get it to work in game, I've been through all the tutorials letter by letter, but it keeps crashing when I select "Testing" on the"testing - garage - exit" screen.
Could someone kindly look at the files I've attached and see where I've gone wrong please?

Your caesars.3do is incomplete, probably because your .mrk file is missing. (And you have still an MRON section in your .3do)

I tried it too, but I've got an error message at the conversion to ICR2, about wrong format.
I'm a beginner too in track editing, so I have no more idea.
My track works, but I don't know where is the difference to yours.

A tip that does not directly solve your problem, but does help when editing, first test in N3. That way you can already take a look at the track and pick problems out. Also, when it doesn't work in N3 you have the debug.txt. That would be my start.

I will try and fire up my XP to see what's going on. Can't do anything on this Win7 laptop.

cheers wolf_pd. some good news - i tried my track in nascar 2 and it works! Its astonishing to be able to drive a track i've fully created myself!

just need to get it to work in ICR2, but its a big step forwards nevertheless!

Hooray! I somehow got it to work, I recreated track from scratch (could have made track a bit wider but n ot bad for a first go!).

again, only a very basic layout, no objects or AI, but another "classic" circuit which can now be driven in ICR2.

coming next... Tamiami Park!
