Greetings and OMG!

Hello everyone. It wasn't long ago when I thought ICR2 was a distant memory. I had the Windows version back in the day as well as the DOS version. My recent find of my disk found it cracked.

A friend of mine asked me if I could get ICR2 to work again in Windows 7 or 10.

I figured it was a longshot, but was able to do so with DosBox, with full controller support. Took about a day. However, the graphics are poor. I'm seeing better graphics on youtube and was wondering if there was some fix (such as Windy) that I was not aware of.

I am also in the process of setting up a Virtual Machine to see if that makes any difference. I am running in -h mode, is that as good as it gets or am I missing a setting somewhere? I can provide screenshots.

I think you have it "as good as it gets". 640 x 480.

Dosbox can add "antialiasing" style effects, if you play with the settings.

Did you tried "indycar -h" command?

Also, the newer carsets are higher resolution than the original. You may have seen some of them.

Currently, I've got windy.exe working on Windows 7 and Windows 7 x64 machines (as well as 3 Win XP) without any issues. I get the game displayed in full-screen mode regardless of my monitor resolution, with the correct colors.

Compatibility settings that I use are in the attachment.

I also have "Use Direct Draw" de-selected from the Options->Graphics->Advanced menu within the game
