Yes, that's flying through the track in OPE.

Appreciate any feedback on the track geometry. I think there will be at least a few more iterations of the SG needed to get the walls in the right place, probably more later to incorporate run off areas, and also not sure I'm happy with the downhill part - seems not steep enough at the top of the hill.

Man I am so jealous how quickly you can put together awesome results. Track geometry looks great- I know it enough because I've driven it in grand prix 2 enough times. (with the added chicane of course)

How did you make the distant parts of the track visible? Did you make it with TSOs, like I tried? If yes, how did you solve the drawing problems, I mentioned in my thread? Or did you do it somehow else?

I just turned on the option in OPE to draw the whole world.

Ah yes, the video is made in OPE. I forgot the option, because by me OPE crashed, if I used it. I wanted to make the track screen like this, at the end I had to make it with 3DOed and Photoshop.

Belle Isle looked quite bumpy in some places. Almost a reminder of the downtown course.

Update on this project - due to some object placements looking slightly off, I'm doing a more detailed review of the SG against an aerial photo I loaded in as a PCX. There were a few places where I had the centerline out of position, so I am in process of fixing that - probably halfway around the track at this point. Also, I need to revisit the track between the start/finish line and Turn 1 - this one goes through a parking lot so the line is not clear, it also bends slightly to the left and I'm not sure I got that right. I recently got a better circuit map from a 1991 Detroit GP program that I bought on eBay, so I will use that for a better reference.

I would be glad to donate to you for spending this money
