Stop AI breakdowns? - SimRacer134 - 02-01-2022 In the 1988 cart season, and in ICR2 in general, I have noticed that at tracks like Surfer Paradise, Mid-Ohio, and Long Beach, the fast AI cars break down early in the race, leaving slower cars to win. In the 1988 cart season, it isn't a problem, except for Danny Sulivan, but is there a way of keeping the AI cars in the race and that the slower cars can stop winning? More threads to come... The AI cars will break down and there is nothing you can do to save them. RE: Stop AI breakdowns? - Pavel 69 - 02-01-2022 I think it can be done with some game engine hack https://www.icr2.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=1428 RE: Stop AI breakdowns? - JR82 - 02-01-2022 I have noticed in some seasons i have simulated some cars do break down more than others but i have no idea how or why & if it can be altered. RE: Stop AI breakdowns? - SimRacer134 - 02-13-2022 A year ago, I was doing the Indy 500 for the 2002 Indycar Season, and only 8 cars finished (I had an oil pump failure). And 32 cars had started. I'm gonna do the 1988 season in 2 days maybe, so I'm hoping this isn't a big problem at the Indy 500. But, in the real 1988 indy 500, I believe 9 or 8 cars finished as well, so I won't be too concerned unless we are down to like 5 cars or something. |
