I am learning track editing and this track is a good one to practice with, since it is small, flat and should not require many objects. That was a great battle between Sneva and Unser! The whole show reminded me how much more simple and entertaining wheel-to-wheel racing was back then - even if drivers take each other out, they just settle it by wagging their fingers at each other. None of the steward's decisions or discussion about who's to blame or whatever. Caesar's Palace was a great track for racing, too. It helps that they have to brake for all the corners and there's run-off everywhere. RE: Caesars Palace Track Beta RELEASE!!!! - checkpoint10 - 03-28-2020 This is a rough new version of the Caesars Palace oval. There is still no AI and it only works in preseason testing. Also, I have only tested this on the DOS version of ICR2. I still get a errors occasionally which has me removing walls and putting them back in. Some walls may be in weird places or missing as a result. Please provide any feedback, suggestions, criticism, etc. Edit: Removed attachment - new version to be posted separately RE: Caesars Palace Track Beta RELEASE!!!! - checkpoint10 - 03-29-2020 I made some edits to the track - the attachment in the previous post has been updated. It's not perfectly matching the real track, but I think it's close enough, so I will get started on textures. It's actually a lot of fun to drive, the back section is taken almost flat out which reminds me of the turn at Istanbul with multiple apexes. Sorry to the folks who downloaded the previous version just today - you'll want to download this one. It has the following improvements: - A small number of track side objects, specifically grandstands and a tall building (representing the Caesar's Palace hotel) - Starting position is now at the head of the pit lane (still haven't quite figured out the rest of the pit lane, but for testing purposes this should be okay) - Palette is now based on Laguna Seca because I wanted to use its sand texture Enjoy!
