Go on ebay, or search through 2nd hand stores until you find an old 16-bit computer, at least a 486DX-33 though a Pentium MMX would be better. You will need at least 8mb of RAM, though 10mb is better or if you can afford it, go for a full 16. (make sure it has a SoundBlaster compatible sound card and of course a 2x CDROM drive). Find a copy of DOS 6.21 and load it on your new ancient computer. That will give you the optimal system on which to install ICR2 with no dosbox required. Make sure to apply both update patches.

Or find an old 32-bit computer running Windows 95 or 98, again with an SB compatible card (personally, I would suggest Windows 98 SE). Load ICR2 and apply patches. Or load WINDY (the native Windows version of the game) Either way should run just fine.

You're welcome.

I would like to know if there is another way to play Indycar Racing 2 without Dosbox. I ask for the last time, I have already done all the procedures and it does not work, otherwise I will never play again.

Unfortunately I won't play Indycar Racing 2 anymore. I can't solve the full screen problem. I'm fed up with not being able to solve this problem. I wanted to know if there is another way to play on Windows 7 without the DOS box. If there is no other way, I will never play again.
Here are the compatibility tab settings I have on my windy.exe shortcut. No guarantee they'll work for you, but I've been consistently able to run windy on my xp/Win7/Windows 10 PCs.

Once Windy is running:
• select "Options" from the top menu
• select "Graphics" from the drop-down options
• Click the "Advanced" button
• make sure the "Use Direct Draw" option is un-checked
And if it wasn't clear enough - the windows version windy.exe (CART racing) that can be downloaded from MyAbandonware
works WITHOUT DOSbox.

I've already done this and it didn't solve anything. The game screen isn't getting full. I don't know if I'll ever play this game again. Unfortunately, I've already lost my patience. None of the procedures are solving this. It's already made me very furious and irritated. I don't know what to do anymore. If not, stop playing this game forever. Nobody told me if there's another way to play without the damn dos box.

Given that you keep coming back here despite your frustrations, let me also try to help. I also had issues getting Windy to look good until I came across this thread which describes how to use dgVoodoo with ICR2, and you can still see my excitement in getting it to work: https://www.icr2.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=1381

The other thing with Windy is that I do turn on "Use Direct Draw" in the graphics options - I believe that is necessary to get the benefits of dgVoodoo - and for me to play in full screen. If I do not turn it on, then I get the game in a small area of the screen which is perhaps what you are seeing.

As you know, ICR2 is an old game and requires some experimentation depending on your system, so I just suggest patience and keep playing with the settings and configuration files.

I honestly don't understand anything they're telling me, nothing at all. I'm not going to play the game anymore. Unfortunately, I've already done everything to solve the damn full screen problem and nothing has been solved. Unfortunately, it will stay in my memory because nothing I did solved anything. I don't know what to do anymore. I give up.

I don't understand anything about these programs that are being passed to me. I would like you to help me in the simplest way possible, otherwise I will never play again.
