Out of curiosity, is there a rendition icr2 win version?

Yes there is a rendition version of the game but most of our artwork from recent years does not work with it.
Hmmm, I have no clue what this "HQ" stuff is... are they just the default tracks from the rendition version of the game?
There is a recent thread about rendition, while I don't know that much about it - you might want to post there.

Yes there is a Rendition version of the game which with a wrapper runs on Windows 7/8/10/11. See here:

I'd also like to see those tracks. I can't get them installed with the old installer from Alison Hine's website.
Now that I finally can use the rendition version thanks to Sharangad.
I'm still amazed what is possible now with ICR2. Nearly 30 years since it was released.
And I finally learned these days that the CART Racing Windy.exe works with Windows11 - right out of the box! Unbelievable...
Though it seems we don't need the Windy.exe anymore. Apart from the better graphics the driving is really easier with the higher and smoother frame rate of Sharangad's rendition wrapper. Blasting through the chicances in Surfers Paradise has never been so much fun
